A little bit of truth…Memphis Family Photographer

I’ll be honest…I’ve probably retyped this blog post several times. I’m still just as sad today typing this as I was the day I took these photos. I don’t really want to go into this family’s story because it is theirs to tell. But I will say that we have all been affected by terrible news that altered our paths in some way or another. It would be nice if we never had to endure any heartache. It would be nice if I sat here and told happy stories about all the great people I meet and photograph (and I do EVERY SINGLE DAY). But I want to be real and honest. Life isn’t always easy. People we love go through difficult times. It’s hard to watch. I’m so thankful for the One (God) who guides us, loves us, protects, heals us, helps us, nurtures us, and directs us. This time of year, I am more thankful than ever for the birth of baby Jesus, our Savior. I’m sure this blog post is probably just a rambling, jumbled mess to those who aren’t aware of this story. But it’s probably not very difficult to place yourself in a situation where you’ve needed God and healing. Psalm 55:22 “Cast all your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.” Psalm 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”

Please join me in praying for this family.

Blessings and Peace,
Cindy
